William de Vos, French Horn
Biography
William de Vos hails from Australia, completing a Diploma and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane. While in Australia he performed with Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, Queensland Symphony, Queensland Philharmonic and Queensland Pops Orchestra. Following his graduation in 2000, William was offered a scholarship to continue post-graduate studies at the State University of New York Purchase College, where he studied with Erik Ralske (Metropolitan Opera) and Stewart Rose (Orchestra of St. Luke’s, New York City Opera, New York City Ballet), graduating in 2002 with a Masters of Music in performance. Along with being a member of the Westchester Philharmonic, his performance credits include the Metropolitan Opera, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, New York City Ballet, New York City Opera and American Symphony. William is in high demand on Broadway with shows including Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Follies, On the Town, King and I and Sunset Boulevard. William resides in Valhalla NY.
