Where does my gift to the Philharmonic go?
Most gifts go to support the general operations of the orchestra which includes our main stage performances and educational programs. The following are some examples of how your contribution supports our mission:
$150 helps a class of 10 elementary school students attend the culminating concert of the Phil's classroom music education program.
$300 supports classroom visits by guest artists such as conductor Tomomi Nishimoto in diverse and underserved schools.
$500 pays for the score rentals and royalties for one concert.
$2,500 allows the Phil to invite up to 100 music-loving adults and students to our concerts, who otherwise would not have the means to attend.
$5,000 underwrites the programming of large works which require greater numbers of musicians...who are grateful for the opportunity to play for you.
All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent provided by the law. <
